Conference on Ecosystem Services – Forest Biodiversity Hubs
On May 21, 2026, the “Ecosystem Services Conference – Forest Biodiversity Hubs” was held at the Central Sports Center in Spała, organized by the State Forests. The conference was opened by the director of the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Łódź and a representative of the Spała Forest District. The presentations focused on ways to enhance biodiversity in forest areas through various agrotechnical and even horticultural practices. The significant role of bees in pollinating plants and dispersing seeds was emphasized. The presentation also highlighted the role of beekeepers and their hard work in maintaining beehives. Methods for protecting bats, as practiced in the Spała Forest District, were also discussed.
