Appointment of an SPP representative to the group of experts in the field of vocational education
On December 4, a meeting was held during which the Ministry of National Education summarized the first cycle of industry meetings held as part of the project “Industry agreement for vocational education and training.” This is a wide-ranging process of cooperation with representatives of many sectors of the economy, industry organizations, and experts, aimed at modernizing vocational education in Poland.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Henryk Kiepura, who presented appointments to 65 experts representing 32 professional fields – members of the National Team of Industry Consultants for Professions and Qualifications. Dr. Katarzyna Godlewska was nominated as an expert in the field of papermaking.
The National Team of Industry Consultants for Professions and Qualifications Relevant to Industry Education performs an advisory and consultative function in the area of adapting the vocational education system to the changing needs of the labor market, economic trends, and challenges related to digital transformation and green governance. The team was established by the Regulation of the Minister of Education of June 16, 2025, on the establishment of the National Team of Industry Consultants. The team consists of representatives of: industry organizations, representative trade unions, and representative employer organizations.
The Team’s tasks include:
- forecasting short- and long-term demand for professions,
- consulting on program changes in vocational education,
- developing recommendations for sectoral qualifications,
- identifying key competencies for the future,
- cooperating on improving vocational exams,
- promoting dual education.
As part of another series of industry meetings, held between September and December 2025, the Ministry of Education continues its work on modernizing the vocational education system. In 2026, the third and final round of consultations will begin, which will conclude the process of reviewing professions and lead to the creation of new fields of study that meet the needs of the economy of the future.
