Fat Thursday at the Papermaker Club
On February 12, the Papermaker Club held a meeting to celebrate Fat Thursday (“Tłusty Czwartek – a Catholic feast celebrated on the last Thursday before the Lent). As usual, club members turned out in large numbers for the event. The club’s chairwoman, Krystyna Szadowiak-Pakowska, began by welcoming the guests. Agnieszka Andruszkiewicz also accepted an invitation to participate in the meeting especially for the club members and gave a lecture on her exhibition “Understanding Paper,” presented at the beginning of the year at the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki Zdrój (read: UNDERSTANDING PAPER). The speaker emphasized the role of art in environmental education. She then invited the club members to make fascinators (decorative headwear for women). After hard work, everyone enjoyed refreshments. Time flew by as everyone engaged in conversation. K. Godlewska and J. Żubrzak from the SPP office participated in the meeting.
