SPP participation in the 11th edition of the “Diplomatic Opening of the Year” under the auspices of the Polish Chamber of Commerce

On February 19, 2026, in Warsaw, at the headquarters of the Polish Olympic Committee, on the initiative of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG), the 11th edition of the prestigious economic self-government conference: “Diplomatic Opening of the Year 2026” (DOR-2026) was successfully organized. As usual, numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Poland accepted the invitation to participate in the event. As in previous editions, the main goal of the conference organizer (KIG) was to create an appropriate atmosphere for stimulating cooperation between the domestic business sector and foreign partners, in line with the strategy of internationalization of the Polish economy.

This year, the city of Białystok was the main partner of DOR-2026. The strategic partners of the event were the marshals of the provinces of Mazovia, Lower Silesia, and Podlasie. The project was held under the patronage of the heads of key government ministries: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development and Technology , the Ministry of State Assets, and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy. The honorary patronage was held by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who was the first to speak in the opening part of the VIP speeches. The event was graced by the presence of delegates from central government administration bodies and regional local government authorities. During the speeches of special guests and lively panel discussions, issues related to global economic challenges were considered, including those resulting from complex geopolitical conditions and the redefinition of globalization.

The largest group of participants in DOR-2026 were representatives of associations – regional chambers – bilateral chambers – employers’ unions – foundations – business entities that have been affiliated with the Chamber throughout its more than 35 years of activity.

Traditionally, the event program included a networking section, creating an excellent opportunity for meetings and informal conversations, with the benefit of strengthening mutual relations, both business and social. Certainly, some of these meetings may in the future fulfill the rule commonly known in the business world: “from contact to contract.” . The space directly adjacent to the conference room was occupied by social and economic leaders from all over the country. Their primary goal was to promote the values of their “small homelands,” encouraging tasting of local products while offering information about historical heritage and the development of investments to increase the attractiveness of the tourist base in the promoted regions. The effects of this promotion will probably not be long in coming.

During this year’s edition of DOR-2026, our Association was proudly represented by J. Turski (Director General of SPP), a member of the Presidium of KIG.
