15th Conference on “Corrugated board—The Latest Technologies”

On October 14–15, 2026, in Toruń, the 15th edition of the “Corrugated Board—Latest Technologies” Conference took place, organized, as is customary, by Świat Druku. For years, the event has attracted key decision-makers, printing plant owners, packaging manufacturers, and technology suppliers in the corrugated cardboard industry. At the same time, it serves as an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, where experts from Poland and abroad present the latest trends, groundbreaking solutions, and market development strategies.

The conference organizers provided participants with a rich program—it included topics focusing on the PPWR regulation, which is extremely important for the industry, as well as a presentation of an analysis and a mathematical model for predicting the edge crush test (ECT) of corrugated board under prolonged static loading. The organizers also addressed issues directly related to business, allowing various speakers to share valuable tips and solutions for optimizing production and printing processes.

On the second day of the conference, SPP representatives Katarzyna Godlewska, SPP Office Director, and Agnieszka Werner of the Corrugated Board Section had the opportunity to present a paper on “Packaging Ecosystems.” The presentation focused on the most important regulations that are already affecting—or will affect in the coming years—the packaging industry. Topics discussed included the PPWR requirements, PFAS regulations, the recyclability of packaging in the context of CEN’s work and preparations for 2030, as well as labeling requirements. There were also updates on the EUDR and EPR, the implications of implementing the PPWR, regulations regarding food contact materials, and the Digital Product Passport.
