International Paper Conference and Exhibition PROGRESS 2022 – summary and photos

The 20th anniversary edition of the PROGRESS 2022 International Paper Conference and Exhibition, under the theme Paper in the Bioeconomy, was held at the Andel’s Hotel in Lodz on September 20-22, 2022. The organizer of the conference was the Association of Polish Papermakers. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of: Ministry of Development and Technology, Ministry of Climate and Environment, Mayor of Lodz Hanna Zdanowska. Media patronage was provided by Przegląd Papierniczy (Polish Paper Review). Sponsors of the PROGRESS 2022 conference are: Bank Pekao, Dienes, Digit Pack, Kemira, Valmet, Voith. Corrugated furniture for the conference was provided by the companies: Eurobox Polska and Kraft-Box.

PROGRESS 2022 brought together distinguished experts, representatives of leading global and domestic companies in the paper industry, as well as manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the paper industry. The conference program covered issues affecting the pulp and paper industry, such as raw materials, environmental protection, energy, regulatory affairs and their impact on the development of the industry.

The conference was attended by 213 people from countries such as Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and Sweden. Among the guests were representatives of Cepi and FEFCO.

The two-day keynote debates were divided into 6 thematic sessions, and a total of 36 papers were delivered. Speeches by speakers in the main part were also accompanied by poster presentations next to the plenary hall and behind-the-scenes consultations with experts, suppliers of machinery and equipment, suppliers of materials and services for the paper industry. The debate program not only covered issues related to the paper sector, but on the second day of the conference a special panel was dedicated to corrugated board.
