Seminar “PPWR and What’s Next?”

On November 13-14, 2024, our Association, in cooperation with Redshaw Advisors, Starzyk Group, Crowe and TGC Corporate Lawyers, held a seminar entitled “PPWR and What’s Next?”, which was aimed at both SPP Members and individuals/companies outside our organization. The first day of the seminar was scheduled to discuss issues related to PPWR. Among other things, we talked about the obligations of packaging manufacturers, certification and testing of packaging for the transport of dangerous goods, chemical testing and aspects of recyclability, support for the transition to circular economy, or the impact of legislation on the packaging industry. The second day was a day of carbon footprint, LCA and ESG. We focused on the basics of ESG reporting and reporting obligations, carbon reporting, the concept of carbon footprint and how to calculate it for an organization and a product, how to manage it over time, and options for offsetting emissions.

The goal of the seminar was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to identify, quantify and account greenhouse gas emissions in their organizations and plan actions to reduce these emissions in achieving climate neutrality.
